2026 Benefits Annual Open Enrollment (Active Employees)
SUSD's 2026 Benefits Annual Open Enrollment - NOW through October 10, 2025
Don’t miss this annual opportunity to enroll in, make changes or add/drop dependents to your SUSD health benefit plans for the 2026 benefit plan year! Open enrollment for Health Benefits, Cash In Lieu and American Fidelity plan changes will be held during the same 3-week enrollment period. All benefit change requests will be submitted online, through the AFenroll Online Benefit Enrollment Site. Employees who are not making changes to their existing benefit plans, or are remaining in the Cash In Lieu plan from 2025, DO NOT have to go through the online enrollment process.
- Exception: employees that want to continue participating, or begin participating in either the Section 125 Health Flexible Spending Account (FSA), or Dependent Day Care Account (American Fidelity products) MUST make an election through the online enrollment process for 2026. Section 125 benefit plans do not continue automatically into the next benefit plan year
Need Enrollment Assistance?
In-person and virtual enrollment assistance will be available (by appointment only) during the 3-week open enrollment period. If you will need assistance with the online open enrollment process, you can schedule an appointment with a Benefit Representative by accessing the link provided below. In-person appointments will be held at the District Office (56 S. Lincoln Street). Accessing Health Coverage Outside Your Region Service Area: Generally, only emergency or urgent care services are covered when seeking medical care that is outside your residential service area. However, you should contact your medical insurance carrier (phone number on the back of your insurance card) to review your travel care options. You may also want to review the Evidence of Coverage (EOC) document for your medical plan (see the EOC section listed above) for information on receiving care outside your residential service area.
