Energy Education

  • Thank you to everyone who helped make our Earth Day Event a great success. See you next year Stockton Unified Community.

  • A collection of new electric grounds equipment, funded by the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District's ZELE program, for the Stockton Unified School District.

  • Electric Bus Celebration with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

On August 15th, county and district officials came together with members of the EPA as well as community partners to celebrate grant funds given to the district to allow for the purchase of electric buses. Students who attended were able to hear about the projects, hear spoken-word artists, and receive a backpack with supplies. This is another step towards our goal of reducing our carbon footprint and reaching net-zero. This is how we take care of the whole child: providing education, health and well-being, and being a good community partner.

The Pathway to ZERO Emissions

  • The Stockton Unified School District is dedicated to enhancing our environmental impact. We are firmly committed to playing our role in reducing air pollution, and we are proud to collaborate with the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District through their Employee Trip Reduction Program, known as eTRIP. This program has been specifically developed to promote the adoption of alternative transportation options, ride-sharing, and various other strategies aimed at diminishing the number of miles traveled by our employees in their vehicles.

The program has been implemented at the four comprehensive high schools, to start. For more information, visit the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District Website

  • In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, one thing we are doing is adding more electric buses. This allows us to cut pollutants and climate-altering greenhouse gas emissions while keeping noise levels to a minimum. Another way we are improving conditions for our students and staff.
