Important Information Regarding Interdistrict Transfers (IDA):

    • Applications will be processed in the order they are received.
    • Applications missing required documents will not be processed. The required documents are listed on the second page of the application.

  • Approval is determined by the following criteria:

    • Students are accepted only if space is available. For students with an IEP, acceptance is contingent upon SUSD's ability to provide the required accommodations. Submitting an IDA does not guarantee acceptance.
    • The student must maintain satisfactory academic performance.
    • The student must have good attendance with no class "cutting" and few to no tardies.
    • The student must not have any behavior or discipline problems.
    • All transportation must be provided and/or arranged by the parents.

    Note: This agreement may be revoked or rescinded at any time by the district if any of the above conditions are not met, or if any of the information in the transfer request application is found to be falsified. 

  • Renewals must be submitted annually and will be prioritized starting in February 2025:

    • If your home district is NOT Stockton Unified School District (SUSD):
      • Contact your home district for details about their IDA renewal process.
    • If your home district is SUSD:
      • You may submit your renewal online, or if you need assistance, please visit or call the office.

    • Review Timeline:
      • New submissions will not be reviewed until after February 27, 2025.

    • Parents will receive email notifications about their application status as soon as processing is complete, but no later than July 31, 2025.
    • Upon approval, parents will be notified immediately with instructions on the next steps.
    • Communication:
      • Notifications about the status of your application will be sent via email from IDA@stocktonusd.net. A valid and working email address is required to ensure fast and efficient communication.
