Important Information Regarding Interdistrict Transfers (IDA):
Interdistrict Attendance Transfer Information
The Interdistrict Attendance, or IDA, transfer process allows students to attend a school outside their home district. Applications are submitted online only through InformedK12.
Important Information
- If your home district is not SUSD: Contact your home district for renewal details.
- If your home district is SUSD: Submit your application online, or visit or call the office for assistance.
Required Documents Before Submitting Your IDA Application
Incomplete applications or missing documents will delay processing and may be returned for correction.
Renewal Applications
- Most recent attendance record or report card
New Applications
- Attendance record
- Discipline records
- Transcript, if applicable
- Reason for the request
- Additional documentation based on request type:
- Sibling request: attendance record for the sibling
- Parent employment: proof of employment, such as a pay stub or letter from employer
- Other: written explanation or letter describing the reason
Application Processing and Approval
Once Applications Are Processed
- Renewal applications: 1–3 business days
- New applications: 1–3 business weeks
Application Status and Next Steps
- Email notifications will be sent as soon as processing is complete, no later than July 31, 2026.
- Approval notifications will include next steps for parents and guardians.
- All notifications come from IDA@stocktonusd.net. A valid email address is required.
New 2026–2027 Submissions
- Renewal applications will be processed immediately.
- New applications will be processed beginning in April 2026.

Approval Criteria for Incoming IDAs
- Space must be available. Students with IEPs require district accommodations.
- Satisfactory academic performance is required.
- Good attendance and minimal tardies are required.
- No behavior or discipline problems.
- Parents or guardians must provide all transportation.
Note: The district may revoke approval if conditions are not met or information is falsified.
