About Child Welfare & Attendance
Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA) supports students and families by helping increase school attendance and ensuring students remain engaged in school every day, for the entire school year.
Our work is supported by Social Services Case Managers and Truancy Outreach Specialists who are assigned to specific school sites and provide targeted student support.
How We Support Schools
- Referrals to the San Joaquin County Office of Education
- Attendance and/or Behavior SARB processes
- Expulsion processes
- Attendance, suspension, and expulsion data support
We serve as a collaborative resource and partner to our school site colleagues.
