Home Visits & Family Support

Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA) has the privilege and responsibility to support students and families. Our work focuses on increasing school attendance through meaningful, relationship-based support.

These efforts are carried out by CWA High School Counselors, Social Services Case Managers, and Truancy Outreach Specialists assigned to specific school sites who work directly with students and families.

Our primary goal is to ensure that every student knows they matter and that support is always available.

Home visits may be conducted for the following reasons:

🎉

Attendance Recognition

Celebrating and recognizing improvements in attendance and student success.

🤝

Support & Follow-Up

Providing assistance, resources, and continued support as needed.

🏠

Address Verification

Confirming student residency information when required.

📞

Unable to Reach Family

Attempting contact when all phone numbers listed in Synergy have been exhausted.

❤️

Wellness Checks

Ensuring the safety and well-being of students and connecting families with support when needed.

Our approach is supportive, not punitive. Home visits are intended to strengthen connections with families and help students remain engaged and successful in school.
