Project Lead the Way is an engaging K-12 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) supplemental curriculum that is aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards. Along with learning grade-level content, PLTW courses focus on problem-solving, critical and creative thinking, communication, collaboration, and perseverance. It is the goal of the SUSD CTE department to offer access to a high quality STEM elective at each K-8 site that will feed Career Technical Education programming in high school. These efforts will produce STEM prepared graduates each year that go on to colleges and local employers to support a STEM powered economy in the region.
