Work Permit Renewals

Students do not need a work permit to search for a job. A work permit is issued only after an employer has signed the Form B1-1, indicating their intent to hire the student.

Students who have received a job offer must submit a completed Form B1-1 Application , signed by the employer, to obtain a work permit.

Annual Renewal Required

All work permits expire at the beginning of each new school year in August. Students must renew their work permits annually.

To renew a work permit, students must submit a new Form B1-1 Application to the appropriate staff at the high school they attend.
