Open Enrollment Guidelines
Priority is given to students who reside within their assigned school boundaries, also known as their home school.
All students who submit applications during the open enrollment period will be considered for admission for the following school year. Requests submitted after the deadline may be reviewed if space remains available.
Upon acceptance, the selected school becomes the student’s school of attendance for the grades offered at that site. Transportation remains the responsibility of parents or guardians when students attend a school outside of their attendance area.
Students accepted through Open Enrollment are expected to:
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Follow all district policies and school rules.
- Demonstrate satisfactory academic progress.
Students wishing to return to their neighborhood school must reapply during the Open Enrollment period. Grade-level placement remains subject to class size limits and available space.
Online Open Enrollment is available only for students currently enrolled in Stockton Unified School District.
Families new to Stockton Unified or residing outside district boundaries should visit the New Student Enrollment page for additional enrollment information.
