The California State Seal of Civic Engagement (SSCE) is a prestigious recognition awarded to high school students who demonstrate exceptional commitment to active and informed civic participation. Within the Stockton Unified School District, the Seal serves as a testament to students' dedication to understanding civic responsibilities, engaging in community service, and addressing societal issues. By earning this distinction, students showcase their ability to lead, collaborate, and contribute positively to their community; embodying the values of democracy and civic leadership. What Students Will Earn
The SSCE is a special gold seal that will be attached to students’ diplomas upon graduation from high school. Students who register through SUSD and complete the five adopted criteria by the established deadline will be recognized with this award.

How to Apply
Each high school has its own dedicated registration link via Google Form. Interested students must complete the Google Form to commit their intention to achieving the SSCE.
