About SJCOE‑Migrant Education Office
“Through its dedicated and committed staff, Migrant Education provides supplemental services that encourage educational opportunities leading to empowerment and success in the lives of migrant students and their families. Migrant Education develops supplemental academic and hands‑on programs and services to meet the educational needs of migrant students. Health and social service needs also play an important role in a student’s success. To make sure those needs are met, Migrant Education staff conduct a variety of workshops and establish key contacts with providers to connect parents with resources.” (San Joaquin County Office of Education, 2015)
