2027 Benefits Annual Open Enrollment  Ends Friday, October 9^th

SUSD's 2027 Benefits Annual Open Enrollment begins September 21, 2026 through October 9, 2026.

Don’t miss this annual opportunity to enroll in, make changes or modify dependent coverage in the District’s health benefit plans (and American Fidelity insurance products) for the 2027 plan year!  During the open enrollment period all benefit change requests will be submitted online through the AFenroll Online Benefit Enrollment Site (click here). Instructions on how to access the AFenroll enrollment site are available here AFenroll Login Instructions (click here)

Employees who are not making changes to thier existing benefit plans, or are remaining in the Cash in Lieu plan from 2026, DO NOT have to go through the online enrollment process.

*Exceptions (Action is Required for 2027):

• Flexible Spending Account (Health & Dependent Care): Insurance product offered through American Fidelity. Existing participants (and new participants) MUST re-enroll during the open enrollment period. *Current enrollment does not continue automatically*
• Discontinued UnitedHealthcare HMO: Current enrollees MUST select a new medical plan for 2027 through the online enrollment process. If no medical plan is selected, enrollees will be administratively transferred into the new Sutter Health HMO plan for 2027.

All benefit plan and Cash in Lieu enrollment changes made during open enrollment wil became effective January 1, 2027. Health premium deduction or Cash in Lieu amount changes begin with the December 30, 2026 pay warrant.
