Ergonomics

  • Stockton Unified School District is committed to supporting the health, comfort, and productivity of our employees through effective ergonomics. The goal of our Ergonomics Program is to create safe and efficient workspaces that reduce the risk of strain, injury, and discomfort while promoting overall wellness in the workplace.

Our Risk Management team provides ergonomic evaluations to help employees optimize their workstation setup—whether in an office, classroom, or other work environment. We assess factors such as posture, equipment placement, and repetitive tasks to offer practical recommendations and adjustments tailored to individual needs.

    Common Ergonomic Concerns Addressed:

    • Office workstation setup (desk, chair, monitor, keyboard, etc.)
    • Repetitive motion or awkward posture tasks
    • Prolonged sitting or standing
    • Equipment adjustments and proper use
    • Prevention of strain or discomfort in daily work activities
