November 2015 - Peyton lost one of our esteemed colleagues and treasured family members, Julia Merlo. Our dear friend and honored teacher will be deeply missed. We are forever grateful for her invaluable contributions to our school and the immense impact of her presence on the lives Peyton students, families, and staff.
Executive functions (EF) are the cognitive/emotional/behavioral skills necessary for our students to be successful in school, as well as in life. Effective students plan, prioritize, and manage their time, materials, assignments, and thoughts. We teach and support student development of EF skills.
The California Department of Education (CDE) funding system is called the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). A Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is developed using the LCFF funds based on the needs of students and families in our schools. Additional funding is allocated to districts who have students that meet the criteria of being an English Learner, Foster Youth, and/or Socio-Economically Disadvantaged. To receive these additional funds our district must collect Alternative Income Forms prior to October 31st, 2018. These funds will be used to provide additional support to our schools for things such as student achievement, promoting safe & equitable learning environments, offering students increased opportunities to be community, college and career ready, as well as increased parent training opportunities.
Online the AIF forms can be accessed by clicking on the Alternative Income Form link on the SUSD homepage and/or going directly to the link https://LCFF.stocktonusd.net.
The information submitted on the form is a confidential educational record and is therefore protected by all relevant federal and state privacy laws that pertain to educational records.
Thanks for supporting your child and all of the young scholars in our district.
