We are prepared to provide TK-12 student learning materials that are self-guided and should be seen as a way to review and reinforce instruction students have already received from their teachers.
Fillmore School Cancellation of Classes Due to COVID-19: Until April 17
In response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic outbreak throughout the United States, in particular in the state of California, by the Governor of California, Gavin Newsom's "Stay at Home" order, Stockton Unified School District and the San Joaquin County Health Services Department has ordered the cancellation of all classes. This recommendation to extend the cancellation of classes by the San Joaquin County Office of Education is until April 17th. All Stockton Unified schools, including Fillmore Elementary, have been distributing homework packets for all grades in order to maintain continuity to our students' education. These packets are available during the week of March 23rd (week 1) and March 30 (week 2) between the hours of 7:30 am - 8:30 am (Monday and Tuesday) and 11:30 am - 12:30 pm (Monday - Friday). Fillmore teachers have been instructed to begin preparing for long-term online instruction. More information will be provided as we prepare for this form of learning. Additionally, student breakfasts and lunches will continue to be provided to all students from Monday thru Friday, 11:15 am - 12:30 pm. Stockton Unified Food Services will continue to provide student meals until further notice. WE WANT OUR STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO BE SAFE AND PRACTICE SAFE HABITS IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF THE CORONA VIRUS!
