Our Mission
The mission of the Special Education Department is to provide every student with individualized high-quality instruction and well-rounded educational experience while promoting success and developing personal independence through leadership, advocacy, technical assistance, and collaboration among all stakeholders.
Our Vision
All SUSD students with disabilities will continue to receive high-quality instruction, programs, and services with an emphasis on inclusionary practices and afforded opportunities.
Our Values
- We will continue analyzing data-driven decisions to improve student achievement.
- We will continue promoting inclusionary opportunities in all educational environments.
- We will continue implementing evidence-based and classroom-based practices to improve positive and safe learning environments.
- We will continue following and supporting the district's initiative with the implementation of the ELA and Math curriculum.
