What does an Internship Look like?
- Unpaid Internships are typically 80 hours of experience in a position related to the CTE Pathway the student has completed.
- Potential worksites collaborate with the Work-Based Learning Coordinator to develop a plan for skill development throughout the internship
- Students are enrolled in the CTE Fieldwork course at their school site
- Typically, this is the last class period of the regular school day from 1:55PM-3:30PM
- Students would likely be able to report to worksites Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
- Thursday's are typically collaboration days with a minimum day schedule (students released at 1:10 PM)
- Community Classroom Agreement will need to be signed by the employer partner and ratified by SUSD Board of Trustees
- Interns and their parents will sign the Internship Learning Plan agreement.

Guest Speaker Approval Process:
- Use this Link to access the form
- Make a COPY and the Guest Speaker completes the form
- Send completed form to Host Teacher or Krista Vannest kvannest@stocktonusd.net
- Host Teacher please send brief description of the purpose for the Guest Speaker along with the completed form to Krista Vannest.
- Once reviewed and Approved by the Assistant Superintendent of Ed Services, the approval is forwarded to the Site Administration.
- Teachers: Please alert your site secretary and the staff that oversee access to campus about your guest.
