Pre-Requisites:

1. Clean Criminal History
2. Clean Driving Record
3. Pass a Drug Test

Complete a California School Bus Driver Training Program:

• Pass a 20 Hour Minimum Classroom Training
• Pass a 20 Hour Minimum Behind-the-Wheel Training
• Pass a Drive Test with California Highway Patrol

Department of Motor Vehicles Requirements:

Pass Class C, B, Air Brakes, & Passenger Endorsement, General knowledge Written Exams

California Highway Patrol:

• Pass Rules & Regulations Written Exam
• Pass 1st Aid Written Exam 

DL-51:

Pass a DOT Physical Exam to Drive Commercial Vehicle

Other Requirements:

• Pass a Livescan Criminal Background Investigation with CHP
• Pass a Livescan Criminal Background Investigation with SUSD
