The California State Seal of Civic Engagement (SSCE) is a prestigious recognition awarded to high school students who demonstrate exceptional commitment to active and informed civic participation. Within the Stockton Unified School District, the Seal serves as a testament to students' dedication to understanding civic responsibilities, engaging in community service, and addressing societal issues. By earning this distinction, students showcase their ability to lead, collaborate, and contribute positively to their community; embodying the values of democracy and civic leadership. The Seal not only highlights their achievements but also empowers them as advocates for change and active participants in shaping a better future.
What will Students earn?
The SSCE is a special gold seal that will be attached to their diploma upon graduation from high school. Students who register through SUSD and then complete the five adopted criteria by the established deadline will be recognized with the award.
