Superintendent Student Advisory
-
The Superintendent's Student Advisory group includes students from each of our high schools and holds regular meetings with Dr. Rodriguez to amplify SUSD's diverse student voice and inform the District as issues impacting all students are explored. The group also develops the criteria for the California Seal of Civic Engagement. Each comprehensive high school is represented by 8 students and each alternative/charter high school is represented by 3 students.
Meetings for the 2023-24 school year take place at various high schools as follows: January 24th (Edison High), February 21 (Stagg High), March 27 (Franklin High), and April 17 (Cesar Chavez High). Additionally, a celebratory field trip will take place for all students participating in at least 3 of the 4 meetings. These meetings at different high schools will be during a special lunch, from 11:45 AM to 1 PM and transportation to the host school will be provided.
