Application Process

  • Middle Years Programme Application 2024-2025


    Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Franklin High School IB Middle Years Program. We are now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year for grades 7 - 10. In order to be considered for our program, please fill out the online application and email the accompanying documents (report card, attendance report, discipline/behavior report, iReady or similar test scores) to Mrs. Reyes  Accompanying documents may also be turned in to Ms. Acevedo, our Registrar, in the Administration Building (B-Bldg) but the application MUST be submitted online. To make things simple, we have included a checklist at the bottom of the online application. Most of the information you already have in your possession or can easily obtain from your child's current school.  As one of the requirements to be considered for our program, we ask that applicants write a brief essay on one of the prompts also located at the end of the application form.

    Additionally, please email Mrs. Reyes immediately after you have submitted your online application. We have added this feature to our processes to ensure that we process all applications promptly and accurately. (See sample email below.) You can cut and paste the sample email to make it simple, but please do not forget to replace the information from the sample email with your own. The Deadline March 1, 2024. After that date, all applications will be placed on the waiting list and on a first-come, first-serve basis, as space allows.

    Essay Prompts:

    In 250 words, please answer one of the following writing prompts for the essay.

         1. Describe yourself at 25 years of age. What kind of person are you? How did you become this person and why are you this person?

         2. Describe the person who has inspired you the most, explaining what it is about them that you admire.


    Sample Email to be sent immediately after submitting the application:



    Hi, this is Bob Smith, student id #1234567 from Henry Elementary. I just wanted to let you know that I just turned in my application with all the accompanying documentation. If you have additional questions please email me or contact me at xxx-xxxx (parent's number please). Thank you.
