Mrs. Castanon
I was born and raised in Stockton. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from UC Santa Barbara and my Master’s degree from Teachers College of San Joaquin. I’ve been at Weber since 2003. I love teaching Science! Besides, all the learning we will do in my class, I hope you also gain some life skills. As you move on, here’s some words of advice:
“My favorite animal is the turtle. The reason is that in order for the turtle to move, it has to stick its neck out. There are going to be times in your life when you’re going to have to stick your neck out. There will be challenges and instead of hiding in a shell, you have to go out and meet them.” Westheimer
Remember to be kind to one another, be yourself, and as you are “sticking your neck out”, it is okay to have some failures. It’s from these failures that we learn the most and it takes courage to keep going. So, go out into the real world, “stick your neck out”, and don’t forget to enjoy it too!
