About the Teacher

  • Camille Iman

My name is Camille Iman Woods. I go by "Ms.Iman" in the classroom. I am a product of EGUSD and a proud UCDavis graduate. I am currently a Teach for America Corps Member, a Americorps member, and a graduate student at Loyola Marymount University. I started my teaching career at Weber Institute in 2016 as a part of the Freshman academy and I am happy to continue my involvement. I am currently the sole teacher of English 1 and ELD.  I have worked to create a partnership between Weber preschool and ELD. ELD students visit the Weber preschool and conduct "read-ins" where they read to their preschool buddies. The partnership builds leadership skills, mentorship skills, and reading fluency for all parties. My goal is to make education more accessible through culturally relevant pedagogy, the inclusion of art and technology in all subject matter, and by connecting the classroom to the local community. Weber offers students unique opportunities to become leaders in their own classrooms, their communities, and ultimately the world at large. I am proud to be a part of Weber Institute.
