What is an AP Exam?
AP Exams are standardized exams designed to measure how well you’ve mastered the content and skills of a specific AP course. Most AP courses have an end-of-year exam, but a few courses have different ways to assess what you’ve learned—for example, AP Art and Design students submit a portfolio of work for scoring.
How can I take an AP Exam?
You may take an AP Exam by enrolling in an AP course and registering for the AP Exam or you may choose to self-study for an exam. Please reach out to your counselor for additional support and questions about registering for an AP Exam.
What are the benefits of AP courses?
Some benefits of taking AP Exams and courses include feeling better prepared for college-level coursework, learning more about a specialized topic, and seeming more competitive for the college application process.
