About the Teacher

  • Mrs. Marinelli A-6

Welcome to my classroom webpage! Here you'll find some information and some links.

    A little bit about me:

As a teacher at Stagg High School for the last 18 years, I strive to ensure that all of my students learn about themselves, their world and find a joy of learning.  I have taught all levels of English at the high school, but my current schedule is AP Language and Composition and English 4.  I look forward to learning about my students and helping them learn how to communicate and use information more effectively.

I graduated from California State University, Sacramento in 2002 with my Bachelor's Degree in English. CSUS also is where I recieved my teaching credential as well as my Cultural Language Acquisition and Development Certification.

My favorite authors are William Shakespeare, Christopher Moore, Stephen King, Octavia Butler, Alice Walker, Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche and Jane Austen, though I am always reading something.

One of my great passions is writing. I participate in National Novel Writing Month (Nanowrimo) every November, which is a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in one month.  I am also involved with the California Writer's Club- San Joaquin Valley Branch as a founding member. Supporting writers around the community is one of my passions.
