Hello, Pittman Families!
I am so blessed to be a part of our Cougar family here at Pittman! It feels like home! This is my first year as an administrator but I have taught for 18 years. I taught for 16 years in Tracy Unified, grades 1st-3rd, and for two years in Manteca Unified, grades 4th-6th and as a Reading Intervention teacher. I have worked for over eight years at schools with Spanish language programs and I am constantly amazed by our Pittman students. I have only wanted to be a teacher ever since I was young. While I still sometimes cannot believe that I moved into administration, I LOVE every part of my job! I love helping to make sure the students are safe and happy every day; supporting our teachers and staff in building relationships; and helping parents to feel that their children are being taken care of and supported. While my job is often challenging, I will tell you it's all worth it every time a student talks to me about their actions, and plans for their future.
As I continue to learn more about Pittman this first year, each day I look forward to meeting all of you, working with you and your children's teachers, to bring about the best educational experience they can have. I believe very strongly in open communication and community involvement in order to create that environment. Please do not hesitate to reach out and share questions or concerns you may have. It ALWAYS helps our children learn!
