Kohl Open School Scholarship
Amount and Number: Two at $500.00 each
Eligibility: Open to graduating seniors from San Joaquin County High Schools. Attended four years and graduated from Kohl Open School. Must be attending “full time” or have the intention of “full time” attendance in a higher institution of learning.
Qualifications: Open to two students, regardless of gender. To be used at any 2-year or 4-year college/university or vocational institution. Evidence of community service.
Procedure for Application and Award: Pick up a scholarship application form at Kohl Open School by March 22, 2021. Complete the application and return to Kohl Open School Office by April 26, 2021. Completed applications must include the following – Two letters of recommendation by instructors and/or employers. A 300-500 word essay detailing “How was Kohl important in your life”. Verification/proof of community service. Selection of the recipient(s) made by the KEF Scholarship Committee. Winners of the Kohl Scholarship requested to make a presentation to the 8th-grade class(es) at Kohl School. Award(s) to be presented to winners at the annual “Soiree”. Funds will be forwarded directly to the student upon verification of full-time enrollment at a higher institution of learning.
