    AP Human Geography

In this course, students explore how humans have understood, used, and changed the surface of Earth. Students will use the tools and thinking processes of geographers to examine patterns of human population, migration, and land use.

    AP European History

AP European History is an introductory collegelevel European history course. Students cultivate their understanding of European history through analyzing historical sources and learning to make connections and craft historical arguments as they explore concepts like interaction of Europe and the world; economic and commercial developments; cultural and intellectual developments; states and other institutions of power; social organization and development; national and European identity; and technological and scientific innovation.

    AP US History

The AP U.S. History course is designed to provide students with the analytic skills and factual knowledge necessary to deal critically with the problems and materials in U.S. history. The program prepares students for intermediate and advanced college courses by making demands upon them equivalent to those made by full-year introductory college courses. Students should learn to assess historical materials—their relevance to a given interpretive problem, reliability, and importance—and to weigh the evidence and interpretations presented in historical scholarship.

    Economics

Economics is graduation required semester course partnered with AP Government in the senior year of high school. Economics focuses of the elements of marketing and agencies as analyzed through micro and macroeconomics and its effects on aggregated production, consumption, investment, labor, resources, politics, inflation, and the effects of monetary fluctuations on the United States and the Global economy.

    AP Government

This course studies the key concepts of the United States Government and prepares students for the Advanced Placement exam. Students will be introduced to the US Constitution and other documents as well as complete a research or applied civics project.

    Career Technical Education (CTE)

Pacific Law Academy offers an educational career pathway in Law. Students are awarded recognition for completing three years of CTE education. Freshmen are introduced to a course in Law and Society, a survey course that help students recognize how laws impact their lives and their community. Students will learn about the 1st, 4th and 5th Amendment and prepare students for AP US History and AP Government courses later in their later high school years.

The second course in the pathway is called the Administration of Justice, but it's much more exciting than it sounds. Students continue to master the US Constitution and Bill of Rights while learning about how justice is rendered. In this course, students analyze and evaluate civil cases, legal cases, and elements of the criminal mind and prepare students to participate in competitive Mock Trial.

In Mock Trial, students learn and practice a theoretical case study and prepare to compete with other Mock Trial teams from around the district and county. Students perform their skills in front of local Judges and Attorneys in a Stockton courtroom, with students taking roles as an attorney, witness, or bailiff.
