    Head Shot of Mr. Weiss

Greetings and welcome to my Teacher Page!  A brief introduction about me, I started my teaching career with Stockton Unified School District in August of 2016.  I spent my first 3 years teaching at Edison High School, where I taught Algebra 1 and Financial Algebra.

The start of the 2023-2024 school year will be my fifth year teaching at Stockton High School as the site's Mathematics Instructor.  Currently, we cover the following required graduation courses:

    • Algebra 1
    • Geometry

In sharing with the mission and vision of this school, these courses in Mathematics provide individualized standards-based education to a diverse student population and partner with students in their education to graduate with the tools necessary to be productive members of society. All of the above courses meet Stockton Unified School District's high school graduation requirements, as well as provide foundational skills to prepare all students for a variety of post-secondary opportunities. Through completion of the courses offered here, students will develop basic academic skills, refine technological skills, and enhance their life-readiness skills.

Prior to teaching, I spent over a decade working in the medical field where I served in a supply and operations management role for the Emergency Department at "The" Ohio State University Medical Center.  While working full-time, I put myself through school, graduating from Ohio State in 2014 with a degree in education.  I believe that ALL students are Mathematicians! I am passionate about this belief and about mathematics education, and my greatest joy is partnering with students as they journey through theirs! When I'm not teaching, you'll find me either riding a motorcycle, holding a camera, or traveling with my wife and our dog!

Welcome to Stockton High School. I'm excited to have you here!

    Mr. Weiss
