About the Teacher

    Kila Johnson

Greetings, All.  Welcome to my page.  To begin, I began my teaching career for Stockton Unified School District in August 2006 and I have been teaching here since.  I spent five years teaching at Cesar Chavez High School where I taught Computer Ed, and Accounting, Business Skills, and was Co-coordinator of the AVID-site team.  I spent five years teaching at Thomas Alva Edison High School where again I taught Computer Ed, Principles of Information Technology, High School Success and Accounting.

I am now teaching here at Stockton High School and I am part of the 5th year program where students have the opportunity to complete required credits to graduate.  I am one of two Elective teachers and for the 2019-2020 school year, I am responsible for teaching

The above elective course meets Stockton Unified School District's high school graduation requirements.  In addition to this (and other electives), Work-Study and Community Service credit may also be available to students that meet the requirements.  For more information about these programs, contact the office at 209-933-7365.

Prior to teaching, I worked in the accounting field where a majority of my accounting work was in construction and for construction companies.  I left my accounting career on a Friday and began teaching the following Tuesday.  I thoroughly enjoy what I do and it is important to me that my students enjoy their learning.

Thank you and welcome to Stockton High School.
