Welcome Roosevelt Families to a new school year!
It is with great pleasure that I write to welcome you back to another great school year. I hope that your summer has been filled with fun family activities during this pandemic crisis. How quickly summer concludes, and our thoughts turn to preparing for the start of school in some fashion. This is always one of my favorite times of the year! I love the excitement of beginning each new school year and eagerly await welcoming our students and hearing their great summer stories. I am thrilled to be part of a team comprised of teachers, staff, parents, and students who want to achieve great things! Our faculty, staff and I are looking forward to a new school year and are working hard to see that your child’s learning experience at Roosevelt is a successful and happy one.
Your partnership and support are key elements to ensuring that we can maximize each student’s educational and personal development during this time. To that end, we encourage a positive home-school relationship based on the mutual goal of providing the best learning experience possible for all students. Our talented faculty brings a diverse set of approaches to instruction to address a variety of student learning styles.
All of us at Roosevelt Elementary School are eager and excited to begin what promises to be the best year ever even with our distance learning. This year is going to be amazing and yet challenging as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help them build relationships while making real-world connections. As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students and parents-are excited to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.
We are a PBIS (Positive Behaviors Interventions Support) school. This means we have school wide expectations; Be safe, Be respectful and Be responsible. You will hear and see a lot more about PBIS as you become more familiar with our program. Please partner with us in making sure your child is learning and growing to be fully prepared for their grade level.
My is door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year.
