February 13, 2023
Dear Stockton Unified Families and Community:
On February 3, 2023, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) announced that it would no longer move forward with mandated proposed COVID-19 vaccination requirements to attend and/or be enrolled in the California public school system.
As you and your children prepare for the upcoming school year, the CDPH reminds keeping your child’s immunization records always available and on hand. California requires students TK/Kindergarten through 12th grade to have the following immunizations:
- Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis (DTaP, DTP, Tdap, or Td) – 5 doses
- Polio – 4 doses
- Hepatitis B – 3 doses
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) – 2 doses
- Varicella (Chickenpox) – 2 doses
Stockton Unified School District is dedicated to continuous efforts to maintain our students' health and well-being.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
The Health Services Department
