SUSD Schools are re-opening!
Greetings SUSD Community,
Stockton Unified School District is pleased to announce students will have the opportunity to return to in-person learning on April 29, 2021. We will offer both distance and in-person instruction for the remainder of the year. Administration, teachers, and staff are ready to welcome back our students.
We had more than 23,000 parents and students respond to our Return to School survey. Half of those respondents chose for their student(s) to participate onsite for in-person learning and the other half chose to remain in the distance learning model. Also, it is very important to respond to the Student Cohort Registration that will be coming out from your site as soon as possible.
The students will be split into three (3) groups: Group A will attend school on Mondays and Tuesdays with distance learning Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Group B will attend school on Thursdays and Fridays with distance learning Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Group C will remain in distance learning remaining on their current schedule. All students will participate in distance learning on Wednesdays.
All 56 schools have been sanitized and meet or exceed State and Federal guidelines. Our efforts are the following but not limited to:
- The site routinely cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected daily/nightly.
- Shields, desks, and hard contact surfaces cleaned nightly.
Bus schedules and food distribution schedules will be posted on the SUSD website. For those students who choose in-person instruction, they will receive daily breakfast, lunch, and afterschool snacks in a to-go bag at the end of the day. We will continue our Wednesday curbside meal distribution that will include five (5) days of breakfast, lunch, afterschool snack, and after-school meals. All students are eligible to receive the five (5) day meal packet regardless if they are attending on-site or not.
Please see the enclosed SUSD COVID-19 Return to School Student/Parent Agreement enclosed for more information.
We look forward to seeing many of our students back on campus on April 29th.
