We are pleased to say that we have been authorized to be an IB School for another five years!!

For the last two years, PYA has been a period of self-study and evaluation for the International Baccalaureate Organization.  All IB schools must go through this process of evaluation every 5 years after being authorized.  We are happy to say that we passed with flying colors.  Congratulations to all of the team, teachers, staff, parents and students that made this possible!!

PYA has been a leading school in the district since 2010.  We are the only SUSD school that provides the IB Primary Years Program to students grades K-5.  Our teachers are trained to teach according to the IB philosophy of inquiry based learning, where students ask questions, research and take action.  IB graduates from SUSD have moved on to attend universities and colleges such as UCLA, USC, Berkeley, San Diego, Drexel, Yale and Harvard.  When we work together, our students can go far!
