Meal Service during Distance Learning
Meal Service During Distance Learning
A postcard/letter will be mailed to students enrolled in Stockton Unified. The postcard will be used to receive meals during Distance Learning. You must bring this postcard with you, in order to pick up meals for your child at the meal service sites. If you do not receive the postcard by Wednesday, July 29, you may contact the Child Nutrition Office for a replacement postcard.
Please note the following important information about Meal Service During Distance Learning:
Meals will be provided for enrolled Stockton Unified students ONLY. Schools are no longer able to provide meals to other children in the household.
The meal service postcard/letter with your child’s name and barcode is required for meal pickup. In order to receive meals, parents/guardians must bring the meal service postcard/letter provided by the District which includes the student’s name, ID number, and assigned barcode. Replacement meal service letters are available by contacting the Child Nutrition Department at (209) 933-7015 ext. 2260.
Meals can be picked up with the postcard/letter at ANY meal service location. The barcode on the postcard will be scanned at the meal service location allowing for each enrolled Stockton Unified student exactly one meal pickup per meal service day.
The meal pickup procedures include social distancing requirements for the safety of staff and families. We ask that all families remain in their vehicles until staff are done placing meals on the table. Staff will then back up from the table to ensure that a 6-foot distance is maintained during your meal pickup.
Parents/guardians are asked to wear face coverings during curbside meal pickup. Additionally, staff are required to wear face coverings at all times. This includes during meal preparation as well as during meal pickup.
Allergen information on planned menu items will be posted on the Child Nutrition website. Menus and meal items served are subject to change at any time without prior notification.
Curbside meal pickup will begin on Monday, August 3rd at select SUSD sites. Meals can be picked up between 10:30AM - 12:30PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Please see the following list of sites where meals will be available for pickup.
