2020-2021 Hamilton i-Ready Personalized Instruction Usage
-
This year our TK-8 students have the opportunity to have fun playing online games and working in their personalized pathways for Reading and Math in i-Ready.
i-Ready My Path instruction provides online lessons that motivate students on their paths to proficiency and growth. Each student's personalized pathway is based on their performance on the i-Ready Diagnostic in order to meet students where they are in their learning journey. Each week, our students are encouraged to complete at least 45 minutes in the Reading pathway and 45 minutes in the Math pathway.
SUSD i-Ready Challenge Contest!
To help address the learning challenges caused by the pandemic, SUSD reaffirms its commitment to have students spend at least 45 minutes a week in i-Ready’s Personalized Instruction Program in Reading and in Math. SUSD hereby announces the i-Ready Challenge Contest for students in grades K-8 which will begin on February 22 and end on April 30.
We have evidence students can accelerate their learning using i-Ready’s My Path instruction. Students have already progressed more than 2 grade levels in specific content areas. In addition, we know passing i-Ready’s online lessons is statistically positively associated with achievement gains. Our goal is to increase the proportion of SUSD’s K-8 students making the 45-minute target in each subject. We are providing support to our teachers to effectively implement personalized learning and hope to partner with parents to help monitor students’ progress at home.
PRIZES! K-8 students meeting the 45-minute target will have the opportunity to participate in the weekly raffle where one student will win a $20 gift card. At the end of the contest there will be another raffle where one eligible student will win either Apple Airpods or a Kindle Fire. In addition, there will be prizes for the K-8 schools with the most points and greatest growth as well as for the class with the highest average participation.Link to i-Ready | Link to SUSD i-Ready Challenge Contest
