My name is Jordan Fong. I am Japanese and Chinese American. I am from Stockton. I graduated from University of the Pacific last May and received my Bachelor of Arts degree in History. There were many reasons why I decided to become an AmeriCorps tutor last school year. One of the major reasons was to give back to the community. I found out about this opportunity through UOP’s job website for students and alumni. I was told by an internship specialist at UOP as well. I am a returning tutor and worked with El Dorado students last school year. It was a real pleasure tutoring the students. They didn’t just bring a smile to my face when I saw them, but they were also happy to be tutored by me. I enjoy working with the students so much that I am serving again to tutor another group of students. I will try my best to make sure that the students get the most out of each session that they are with me.
