Moss, Aaron

Mr. Moss teaches Instrument Repair at Cesar Chavez High School in Stockton California.   He has a Bachelor of Arts from Boise State University in General Music and a Master’s Degree with Honors from Vander Cook College of Music in Music Education.   A veteran teacher of 25 years, Aaron has been a high school band director, taught elementary and middle school music and is on his second year of teaching instrument repair as part of the California Technical Education program.

A percussionist at heart, he spent the early years of his career learning how everything percussion worked.   Learning how to repair percussion instruments led Aaron to develop new and innovative ways to manufacture and improve on designs.   In 2001 he wrote a drum repair manual that was used as part of the curriculum at both Boise State University and Vander Cook College of Music.  In addition to his career in education he has owned a small home-based percussion repair and manufacturing business for more than 25 years.
