About The Classes
The Video Production classes at Chavez high school are a part of the CTE (Career and Technical Education) Department. The purpose of the class is to prepare students for a career in the video industry. This could include going directly to work after or even during high school, as well as continuing to develop their work-based skills in post-secondary education. Students in the classes use industry-standard tools including Sony, Canon, and JVC cameras, a variety of professional-grade sound equipment, and the editing software including Adobe Premiere.
