About the Teacher

  • Gabriella Parker

My Name is Gabriella Parker. I am an 8th-grade teacher at Fremont Elementary in Stockton Unified School District.  I have lived in California my whole life (San Mateo, Manteca, Fresno, Galt, and Lodi) and love it. I teach English Language Arts, Social Studies, and English Language Development. This is my sixth year of teaching. I have taught second, sixth, and eighth grades. I also am one of the PLUS team (Peer Leaders Uniting Students) advisors and will be working on ways to implement digital events and activities for our school this year.

I speak both English and Spanish fluently. I am one of six children. I am close to all of my siblings. I was raised by a combination of my dad, sister, grandparents, and aunts. I owe a lot of my success to those who have supported me throughout my life. I got married in September 2019 and could not have asked for a more perfect day or person to share it with. I hope to have children in a couple of years. I have a big extended family of about fifty people who I get together with pretty frequently. We love to celebrate any type of accomplishment within our family: graduations, birthdays, promotions, retirements, babies', ladies' Christmas get together, etc.

Even though I have a big family and can be very social, most of the time I am a low key person. I like to relax, get massages, go on walks, watch movies, listen to music, make charcuterie boards, and go to the beach. Due to COVID-19, I got into growing plants such as cilantro, tomatoes, and chiles. It’s been a fun way to relax and do something productive. I am enrolled in the Teaching English to Students of Other Language Master’s program at Grand Canyon University in order to extend my knowledge of helping English Learners.
