SUSD is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of our staff and students as we plan for the 2020-2021 school year. Over the summer, our District received guidance from the state and county on how to safely reopen our schools and began planning to offer in-person learning. However, due to the significant increase of COVID-19 cases in San Joaquin County in recent weeks, we do not believe that schools can safely and responsibly reopen this fall.
Therefore, the 2020-2021 school year will begin in a 100% distance learning model. Instruction will resume on Monday, August 3, 2020, as previously scheduled.
The SUSD Distance Learning Guidebook for families and students is now available to view and download. Please click here to view and download the guidebook in your preferred language.

Self-monitoring Screening System
On Monday, October 19, 2020, the District will be implementing a completely online self-monitoring screening questionnaire to be completed by all employees prior to reporting to work. A custom link to complete your daily questionnaire will be emailed directly to your District (.net) email address; the questionnaire can also be completed by visiting www.stocktonusd.net/screening and inputting your employee ID number. Employees may opt-in to receive their survey link via text message within the survey; message and data rates may apply. Official SMS messages for this project will come from the number (833)548-1056; please click here to read the SMS Terms of Service.
This new online self-monitoring screening system will aid District personnel in managing potential COVID-19 exposures and any positive cases. The safety of our staff and students is our top priority, and we must remain vigilant as we work to reopen schools. Please remember this is a process and currently we are working only on the staff portion of the Self-Monitoring Screening System.
For questions, please contact Chris Anderson at ChrisAnderson@stocktonusd.net or Bernadette Bettencourt at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are working to support all of our SUSD stakeholders thank you for your patience and participation in this new online system.
