COMMUNITY EVENT - EXTRA CREDIT
Students must attend an event, write an essay with the information learned, bring receipts or brochures that they were given, create a video, and share the video of their visit or participation at the activity.. any step not completed will be given no credit.
The Haggin Museum - Scholars must provide evidence of their attendance where they are visible

*STEM - Expanding your Horizons Conference: woman in science>UNIVERSITY OF THE PACIFIC
The Annual San Joaquin Expanding Your Horizons conference is here for our 26th year!! Expanding Your Horizons is a career conference for young women grades 6th to 12th. The workshops provide an opportunity for the students to learn in greater detail about math, science, engineering, and more! Examples of workshops are Bristle Bots, where students make electronic toothbrushes; Green Power, where students learn about wind energy by building a wind turbine; and Physiology is Fun, where students learn about heart, brain, and lung functions.
