Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)
-
MTSS is an integrated, comprehensive framework that focuses on all students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional learning through the delivery of viable curriculum and effective research-based instructional strategies and supports to ensure equitable outcomes.
Stockton Unified staff members are developing our framework so that we can more effectively coordinate our efforts across all our schools and support systems. In the Spring of 2018, SUSD was awarded a grant to participate in the California Scale Up MTSS Statewide (SUMS) initiative. SUSD will have a team of district and school leaders participate in 8 sessions of training to develop the MTSS Framework within Stockton Unified during the 2018-2019 school year.
