Greetings Parents & Students,
I am excited to start this year as our new instructional coach. My academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Spanish from San Francisco State University. I received my Masters in Counseling from University of La Verne along with my PPS credential. Then I decided to get an adminstrative credential through CSU, Stanislaus. I have been teaching mathematics for 18 years. I started my career in the Bay Area teaching 6th grade math and science as well as being the Science department chair. In 2004, I moved to Stockton and started teaching Algebra at Webster Middle school. When Webster closed down in 2007, I transferred to Cesar Chavez High School teaching Algebra and math intervention courses. Health Careers Academy High School has been my home since it has opened 8 years ago. My goal is to continue to work with our students and teachers to continue to strive to be the best and give back to our community.
When I am not at work, I am taking care of my family. I have six children ages 6, 8, 11, 17, 18, and 22. Afterschool, I am usually driving them to one activity to the next from dance classes to gymnastics to soccer. Somewhere between I am the Girl Scout leader and co-leader for my girls' troops. Once a week I teach a group fitness dance class at In-Shape. I would love to see you in join one of my classes. If and when I have free time, my husband and I enjoy traveling, golfing, and trying out new restaurants together.
